For the record, 500,000 general and 110,000 children's catalogs were distributed in 2007 (24% and 55% increases over 2006). SCIBA Bookstores used the catalogs at point of purchase, and also inserted catalogs with their store imprints into the following media:

  • SCIBA booksellers rubbed elbows at meetings throughout the Southland recently to talk about how to best make IndieBound work for them, using the Holiday Catalog to increase sales and visibility and taking advantage of the Mentor program to improve their businesses.

    Over 100 school librarians, teachers and administrators attended the SCIBA Children’s Books and Literacy Dinner recently. Frank Beddor, Dean Lorey and Jon J. Muth headlined the event as featured speakers, with Robin Preiss Glasser, dressed to the Fancy Nancy hilt, acting as mistress of ceremonies.
